 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American comedian, actress and activist Her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and began her career as an actress as a young person just after moving to the United States. In AT&T commercials she played the role of Lily Adams (saleswoman) from 2013 to 2016 and then in the year 2020. Her commercial appearances were not the only thing she was involved in. She also appeared on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015). She was also a regular on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2017). Vayntrub has also been the voice for Squirrel girl on Marvel Rising since 2018, after she was cast in the television pilot that has not yet aired New Warriors. Vayntrub was Jewish born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. At the age of 2 she emigrated together with her parents to the U.S. to escape antisemitism. She moved to West Hollywood. When she was five she started appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials. This was partly due to the financial struggles in her family. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School. She dropped out of the school in her sophomore year. She obtained a GED and went on to get an undergraduate degree in Arts (Communication) from the University of California San Diego. She was a member of the Upright Citizens Brigade, and learned improv comedy.
